John Tyler High School celebrates Take a Veteran to School Day

Suddenlink employees will join John Tyler High School students and staff as they honor local veterans at a Take a Veteran to School Day program and breakfast Friday, NOvember 11. The Take a Veteran to School Day project is part of a national initiative by the History Channel and Suddenlink that provides a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life.


The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the gymnasium. At 9 a.m. the ceremony will begin and will include the Presentation of Colors, remarks on the History of Veterans Day, a reading of In Flanders Fields poem, a Missing Man Table, and performances of the National Anthem and God Bless the USA by the John Tyler High School Choir.
