Tyler ISD turns Pink for breast cancer awareness

October 13, 2017

Tyler ISD campuses, students, staff and administrators are taking part in the City of Tyler Fire Department’s Turn Tyler Pink event today.

Tyler Fire hosted a district contest to see which campus provided the best show of pink. Griffin Elementary School was awarded the coveted Pink Fire Helmet for taking first place with their photo of the entire campus wearing pink and standing in the formation of the state of Texas  surrounding a pink ribbon. Griffin will display the helmet at their campus until next year's competition.
