Caldwell Elementary Arts Academy to present Disney's Mulan Jr. musical

November 15, 2017

On November 16 and 17, Caldwell Elementary Arts Academy will take its audience on a mystical journey to ancient China in Disney’s Mulan, Jr., based on the action-packed stage adaptation of the Disney animated film, Mulan—a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor, loyalty, strength, determination and a fighting spirit. Admission is FREE, but donations to Caldwell Elementary Arts Academy are appreciated.

In the musical, a young Mulan breaks with tradition, disguises herself as a young man, and spares her aging father from serving in the Emperor’s army. Mulan and her mischievous, misfit, sidekick dragon, Mushu, seek to save the Emperor and the kingdom from the invading Huns, while fighting for her family’s honor.

This enchanting musical will captivate children and adults of all ages with its inspiring message that one still can be honorable, but break with some traditions. The Mulan, Jr. score includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All,” and “Keep ‘Em Guessing.”
