Tyler ISD campuses gear up for Red, White, Blue and You week

Patriotism will certainly be on display May 29 – June 1 as campuses across Tyler ISD celebrate “Red, White, Blue and You” week! To coincide with Memorial Day, Tyler ISD will spend the week honoring our nation’s ideals and beliefs of freedom and patriotism by recognizing the historical leaders of the past and honoring the sacrifices of our armed forces.


Campuses will be participating in activities such as essay and art contests, balloon releases, living museums, patriotic sing-alongs, door decorating contests, plays or reenactments, guest speakers and more.


Weekly Schedule:


Tuesday, May 29

Liberty Day

Students wear red – learn more about the Liberty Bell


Wednesday, May 30

Patriot Day

Students wear blue – learn more about the Star Spangled Banner


Thursday, May 31

Military Hero Day

Students dress in camo – learn more about the Eagle


Friday, June 1

Flag Day

Students wear red, white and blue. Learn about US Flag
