Tyler ISD launches #safeTisd campaign as part of new safety initiative

September 14, 2018

Tyler ISD has launched a new #safeTisd campaign as part of its recently updated school safety program. The program holds routine safety procedures that have already been in place as well as additional procedures that align with today’s school safety climate.

The social media #safeTisd campaign is a way to push information to parents, students, staff and the community in regard to the implementation of these school safety procedures when needed. District messages will include the #safeTisd hashtag as way to signal important information.

Additional school safety improvements initiated by the District include:

  • Implementation of new social-emotional program to all schools;

  • Creation of four Action Teams to address: Cyber-Technology; Facilities and Personnel; Policy and Procedure; and Socio-Emotional Needs;

  • Seek cutting edge deterrents for installation in current and future facilities.

Information on these items and more can be found on the Tyler ISD website, www.tylerisd.org.
