Three Tyler ISD students receive National Merit Scholar honors

Tyler ISD is honored to have three National Merit Scholar students from Robert E. Lee High School. 

 

Spencer Webb (middle) – National Merit Semifinalist

Spencer is a member of the REL Band, cross country team, UIL Math and Science academic teams, Technical Society of America, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society) and Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society. After high school, Spencer plans to attend either the California Institute of Technology (CalTech), Rice University or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to major in computer science or a similar field.

 

Jonathan Graham (left) – National Merit Commended Scholar

Jonathan is a member of the REL Band, soccer team, National Honor Society, UIL academic team, Hispanic Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, Key Club, Philosophy Club and Chinese Club. After high school, Jonathan plans to attend Washington University in St. Louis to major in either environmental sustainability or Spanish.

 

Jackson Noland (right) – National Merit Commended Scholar

Jackson is a member of the Debate team, UIL Current Events and English teams, Technical Society of America, National Honor Society, Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Gavel Club, Key Club and Philosophy Club. After high school, Jackson plans to attend the University of Oregon to major in political science or philosophy.
