Tyler ISD and the Tyler Area Business Education Council will host its 5th Annual Principal for a Day event Wednesday, Nov. 7, welcoming local business and civic leaders to serve as guest principals for the day.
Guest principals will receive a behind-the-scenes look at the local school system while also having the opportunity to shadow the principal, meet with students and faculty, attend student assemblies, and participate in other activities that make up the school day. All principals, guest principals and District leadership will then meet at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and reflection in the Community Room at the Tyler ISD Career and Technology Center. Tyler ISD Culinary Arts students will cater and serve the meal.
Participating businesses and organizations include The Mentoring Alliance, Tyler Junior College, Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance, Lomoco, Inc., NET Health, Regions Bank, Tyler Fire Department, UT Health Northeast Campus, John Soules Foods, Tyler Police Department, SERVPRO of Tyler, UT Health East Texas, Better Business Bureau, Ogle Homes, Prothro, Wilhelmi & Company, Roberts & Roberts, Tyler City Council, Tyler Pipe, Capstone College & Career Advising, UT Tyler, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, BBVA Compass and Leadership Tyler.
