Hannah McClellan, daughter of Daniel and Cynthia McClellan, plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler to major in Biology and pursue a career as an exotic animal veterinarian. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa, served as president of the ECHS Conservation and Keep America Beautiful clubs, and secretary of the Keep Tyler Beautiful Youth Advisory Committee. Hannah also volunteers with Junior Achievement, CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances STARS Program, Keep Tyler Beautiful and Conservation Club. Congratulations, Hannah!
Josue Gaona, son of Misael and Rosa Gaona, plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler to major in Biology and pursue a career as a surgeon. He was a three year member of the JT soccer team, vice president of the National Honor Society, member of Health Occupations Students of America, Science Club and is an AP Scholar with Honor as well as PSAT Commended Scholar. Josue also volunteers with Junior Achievement, East Texas Food Bank, Boshears Center for Exceptional Programs and Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home. Congratulations, Josue!
Jonathan Graham, son of Steve and Ashley Graham, plans to attend Washington University in St. Louis to major in Chemical/Environmental Engineering and Spanish and pursue a career in environment preservation and improvement. Jonathan was the REL Band Head Drum Major, played on the soccer team and was president of the National Honor Society, Hispanic Honor Society and Philosophy Club. He was also the Texas Bank and Trust Student Board of Directors Chair and a Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Ambassador. Jonathan is an Eagle Scout and volunteers with The Giving Garden, Senior Study Buddy Program, #BeBetter Movement and UM Army Mission Week. Congratulations, Jonathan!
Nicole Grayson, daughter of Mitchell and Monica Grayson and Jackie Strickland Grayson, plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin to major in Leadership and Communications. Nicole was student body president as well as president of the National Honor Society. She was also a member of the ECHS Conservation Club, Film Club, Voice of Faith City Choir, Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta. Nicole has volunteered as a Tyler Chamber of Commerce Azalea Belle, Junior Achievement Financial Literacy Instructor and Keep Tyler Beautiful Youth Advisory Board member. Congratulations, Nicole!
Jose Romero, son of Jose and Marilu Romero, plans to attend the University of California San Diego to major in Ecology. Jose is captain of the JT Debate Team where he was a congressional debate national qualifier, extemporaneous speaking regional qualifier and Sons of the American Revolution state champion. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and various UIL Academic teams. Jose volunteers with the East Texas Food Bank, Carter Blood Care and the SPCA. Congratulations, Jose!
Ethan Barton, son of Eric and Susan Barton, plans to attend Baylor University to major as a University Scholar, an interdisciplinary with business, mathematics, Spanish and philosophy. Ethan was a member of the Tyler Lee Theatre, golf team, Bible club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, American Legions Boys State and Tyler Rotary Young Citizens Club. Ethan volunteers during weekly services at Bethel Bible Church Downtown, serves lunches and plays piano at the Salvation Army and local nursing homes and is also a math tutor for elementary students.
