Tyler ISD to host second annual ‘EdCamp’ for local educators

June 24, 2019

Educators from Tyler ISD and the surrounding areas will gather at the Tyler ISD Career & Technology Center Thursday, July 25, from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM for a day of learning, innovation and educational excitement! The second annual EdCamp Tyler is a FREE, participant-driven, un-conference that empowers educators to maximize professional learning experiences and peer networks.

How does EdCamp work? Upon registration/check-in for the morning, educators will suggest a variety of topics they are interested in learning about throughout the day. Event organizers then create session boards unique to the submitted topics to allow educators the opportunity to customize their learning for the day by collaborating with other educators in similar areas of interest. Educators are encouraged to share best practices, challenges and passions; each listening for key information to enhance their professional learning.
