Four Tyler ISD students receive National Merit Semifinalist, Commended Student recognition

October 8, 2019

Four Robert E. Lee High School students have been recognized for their achievements through the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Of the 1.6 Million entrants, only an approximate 50,000 students with the highest PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index scores qualify for recognition. Students are recognized as either as a Commended Student or as Semifinalists. Semifinalists are the highest scoring entrants in each state and have the opportunity to advance to Finalists standing.

Please join us in congratulating Commended Students Ariel Hekier and Tyler Puryear and Semifinalists Inaara Tejani and Omar El-Kishky from Robert E. Lee High School.
